JOINING THE BEGINNING AND END BINDING

You are on the home stretch.  As usual, you left a few inches loose when you started your binding and hopefully wound up with a pretty big tail.  Stop at least 10” short of the beginning stitches.

How not to twist the ends as you put them right sides together is the trickiest part.  Looking at the wrong side of the right piece, place it flush at the top and the left side right on that crease.  Pin.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

  

 Before you trim,  test to see that there is no twist in the binding.  No catastrophe if you have cut and there is a twist, as you can still sew the ¼” seam,   but frustrating.

  


 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 PURRR-FECT FIT!

Tidy it up and Voila!!  Fold binding over the quilt and finish sewing the completed NON BULKY binding.
